SARA Giving: Current Priorities

Annual Fund & Coach's Wish List:

SARA Annual Fund

Our priority is driving participation in the Annual Fund. It is the primary vehicle to support CWRU Crew and provides the SARA Board with the flexibility meet the team's need on a daily basis. Annual Funds provide for shell maintenance & repairs, shell insurance, rack space in the CRF Boathouse, acceleration funds for larger purchases. Click on the link about for much more detail on how you can help.

wish list

Each year we would like to show our support of the coaching staff by providing them with a little "boost" each spring. Each year we ask the coaches what would really be some items they need to be successful for the spring season. The spring Wish List directs money into our Annual Fund and then we buy the items for the coaches and student athletes. This year's list is posted HERE.

As we all know the team cannot function without the support of alumni, parents and friends. From time to time the team needs certain items to keep functioning in tip-top shape. If you would like to contribute one of the item -- gaining a nice tax deduction at the same time -- please contact Doug Rathburn for more details.

Capital Campaigns:

While were are currently not running a major capital campaign, we still accept large gifts for new shells, gifts to the endowment, and are exploring the possibility of an indoor rowing center. If you would like more details please contact Doug Rathburn.

We concluded our last major capital campaign, the Alumni Victorious Campaign, in 2012. The campaign ran from 2008 to 2012 and included two fours (the Dorothy A. Hudak & Stefan James), a shell trailer and the start-up funds for the SARA Coaching Endowment. In total, over $65,000 was raised for the team!
