2011 USRowing National Selection Regatta II (NSR II)

The USRowing NSR II is the second of many steps to national team selection in 2011. The focus of NSR2 will be doubles and pairs, featuring racing in the M2x, W2x, LW2x, LM2x, M2-, W2-. Winners in these events will have the opportunity to secure a berth on the 2011 National Team through World Cup racing. The LM2- will also be contested at NSR2 as a speed order event, to determine camp invitations.

NSR 2 Progression System: For Sculling Events - The Thursday morning time trial determined lanes for the evening heats. The top four boats in each of three heats progressed to two semi-finals on Friday with places 5-6 advancing to the C final. The top 3 boats in each semi-final advanced to the A final with the remaining crews placed in the B final. Both A & B finals were run on Saturday. Racing is 1900m vs. the traditional 2000m to build baseline data for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro since that course will only be 1900m.

Miranda Cullins, former Case Crew rower and coach, participated in the Women's Double with Laura Nicholson also of the Princeton Training Center. In March 2010 she was invited to train at the Princeton Training Center and is listed in the official results under the "USRowing Training Center" banner.
